So why not come along and take part in your association? Also, if you live near a recently arrived resident, please tell them about this Newsletter and the Association, which is starting its 17th year.

Big Lunch – 10th anniversary
This year’s Big Lunch is the 10th one that the Association and All Souls’ Church have collaborated upon. For anyone new to the area, the Big Lunch involves closing off the area around the corner of Northcote Road and Haliburton Road, setting out loads of tables and chairs and saying to anyone who’d like to take part, neighbours, congregation, friends, all: come along, and share your lunch with others. There are activities for children, a raffle, and music (that depends on you, by the way). If it rains, then sanctuary is offered by the church. It’s always fun. Because it’s the 10th anniversary, shall we do something special? An item for the AGM…

A general warning about people knocking on your door with stories of woe which lead inevitably to requests for money for taxis, If you don’t know the person, it is much more likely that this is one of several known local fraudsters. Don’t be intimidated and do contact the police. These people prey on your goodwill.
The Association has a website. The link is: nsmra.org/
