ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING 2018

The Association is now 16 years’ old, and its AGM is on 15 May 2018 in the usual place (see poster on right).  That’s Tuesday!

Why not come along and meet neighbours and discuss local issues.

If someone has moved in near to you, and might not be on the mailing list, why not mention what’s going on to them.

And why not take part? The capacity for action is dependent upon the people who are prepared to do things.

Big Lunch

This event is a highlight of the local calendar.  People get together to share food and conversation in the open air, next to the Church. Fun for all the family is assured.  This year’s Big Lunch is on Sunday 10 June 2018

On that day, Northcote Road will be closed from Newry Road to the footbridge end, and we ask that residents try not to park in that part of the road adjacent to the curtilage of the Church.

Website

The Association has relaunched its website. The link is: nsmra.org/

River Celebration Day

The River Crane is the boundary of the NSMRA area and the Tidal Crane Association will be holding its annual River Celebration on 16 June 2018 – this event has been running for 41 years!

There will be opportunities for exploring the River, getting damp or just looking!  The evening rounds off with a BBQ.

Parking Zone

The zone is approaching 6 months old and you may have comments or suggestions to tweak it.  If you do, then they should be sent to: highwaysandtransport@richmond.gov.uk

1918-2018

Four years ago, the Association marked the centenary of the start of the First World War with a series of events which were centred around the names of local people who died during that terrible conflict.

It is proposed to commemorate the end of that War with a performance of poetry, prose and song on 11 November 2018, which is a Sunday.  It will be a community event, as it was before, and if you would like to participate in it, please get in touch, particularly if you would like to sing, or get involved in stage or sound management.

In any event, please put the date in your diaries.
